UPDATE: Below is the white paper I wrote for the Contemporary Muslim Consumer Cultures conference at Freie Universitat in Berlin.

In Fall 09, Cambridge Scholars Publishing will include it in their book Muslim Societies in the Age of Mass Consumption and it will be available as as PDF.

Back in primary season, Raafi mused on Ohio. Our friend Rebecca was campaigning there last weekend and reported:

This just arrived in my Facebook newsfeed. Chevy, you are not my friend. And given that I live in BK/NYC, you should know better than to think I drive. And whatever agency is behind this might claim that I’m actually helping via WOM, getting the brand out there, a slice of mindshare. SMH. Smarten up and learn from Whole Foods.

Etailer Fred Flare just opened their first storefront round the corner from my house. The folks at Zeus Jones have been looking at this trend of click-to-brick and how to discern what should stay DIY and what should be sleek.

I do wonder when the fast/snack food industry will tap GPS. Lots of interactive ad(venture) campaigns that could help offset obesity under the banner of insert your brandname here.
